Dear Members and Friends,

We wanted to update you on how Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre is responding to the current and evolving Covid-19 crisis and the resulting shutdown of services and social distancing measures that have been implemented, we understand that these are strange and challenging times, but our core values remain the same, we are here to support our community.

CNC will remain open throughout this period, and even though we won’t be physically present in the office, we will be available by phone, email and social media to answer any questions you may have and to support you so that you can stay in touch with your classes and each other. We have modified our office hours to 10am – 3pm Monday to Friday and we will be updating the website frequently with information and resources for the upcoming months.

For now we will be guided by your needs on how you would like to be involved and the ways in which we communicate, so please keep checking in with your class page on the website and with our social media for updates.

Please take care of yourselves and each other as we move further into this crisis.  Take a break from the news regularly, it can be overwhelming, read a good book or take a safe socially distant walk instead.   Most of all remember that in times like this toilet paper can provide some comfort, but community connection, support and kindness are the things that will keep us all strong and resilient.
