Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre is a not for profit Community organisation which offers educational, recreational and social support opportunities to all members of the community. The centre was established in 1981 and is directed by a voluntary committee of management made up of local residents and interested people. The Centre is a member of a national organisation ANHLC (Association of Neighbourhood Houses and Learning Centres), a movement committed to people at the local level.

The OFFICE is located in Weller House. Entry is via the front door from Canterbury Road or through the kitchen near the tennis courts. |

Parking |
Some parking is available in Balwyn Road, Boronia Street and Canterbury Road. Alternatively, parking is available behind the shops on Canterbury Road.
Please DO NOT park over residents’ driveways in Boronia Street.
Take care to note time restrictions in the area as these are regularly enforced by the Council. |

Membership Information |
| |
$10 per family per year.
This fee covers the cost of administration, tea making facilities, kitchen and bathroom supplies and other consumables supplied for your convenience and information.
How to be involved …
There are many ways you can participate in the Centre over and above attending your course or activity.
You may like to become a Committee Member or a Volunteer.
Volunteers are essential to the smooth running of the Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre.
There are many ways your contribution can help the staff in the day to day administration of the Centre.
You may enjoy helping out with occasional projects such as mail-outs or fundraising or spend your time at the Centre on a regular basis offering your expertise.
Please speak to staff should you wish to discuss any element regarding volunteering.

Booking Information |

Course and Childcare Fees:
• Bookings may be made in person, by phone or by mail and must be accompanied by full fees
• Payment can be made by Eftpos, cheque or cash. Credit card payments can also be accepted over the phone
• Materials are not included in the cost of courses unless indicated
• If a member withdraws from their course less than one week before commencement, a cancellation fee of 20% will be charged
• No refund will be given once a course has begun
• Courses that do not achieve a minimum enrolment may be cancelled and a full refund will be issued
• Concession rate is available for holders of a pension concession card for childcare and some classes
As the Centre is a not for profit organisation, fees are set to achieve a break-even level. Your fees are used to cover costs including tutor and staff salaries, general administration, publicity, photocopying, postage, coordination of courses, etc.
