Learn how to use water colour techniques to illustrate the natural and botanical world in this intensive one-day workshop. This class will run for
Terry will patiently guide you in developing your skills in observation and combining these with a range of painting techniques and colour mixing to produce realistic birds, native animals and plants in watercolour. This workshop is ideal for anyone wanting to learn more about botanical art and who might be interested continuing with term classes.

Watercolour techniques, dry brush and wet on wet.

Meet your tutor
Terry Napier
Terry Napier is a renowned wildlife and botanical artist and trained teacher who founded Nature in Art group in 1996. He is a long-time member of the Botanical Illustrators group at the Royal Botanical Gardens and has exhibited at their biannual ‘Art of Botanical Illustration’ Exhibition for most of its history. His paintings have found homes throughout Australia and in numerous overseas countries and are part of permanent collections in the State Library, RMIT University as the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Terry was awarded the Celia Rosser Medal in 2010 for his contribution to botanical art and teaching.
