Sibone Heary

Sibone is an Australian artist who has taught kindergarten and primary aged children as well as adults in Melbourne.  Primarily a figurative painter, her interest lies in the external expression of the internal self. Drawing on her own lived experience, she looks at the interconnection of mind and body.

She initially explores these ideas through processes of drawing, etching, sculpture and photography.

Sibone was a finalist in both the Darling Portrait Prize (2020) and the Byron Arts Magazine (BAM) Prize (2020).
