Volunteers are at the heart of Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre and we welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities. You can volunteer to assist on a regular day, after hours or just ad hoc when you are available. We also can arrange volunteer opportunities for young people looking to engage in community service or work experience.

Suggested activities include:

• helping our front counter and administration assistance

• joining our Board to contribute to the Centre’s strategic vision

• contributing ideas for 3126 magazine or joining our distribution walking team

• assisting with events

• coordinating a social group around your passion or hobby

• suggesting a new course or activity

• providing gardening/maintenance assistance

• joining our IT help desk as a digital mentor

Teach a class

We are always on the search for new tutors to share their expertise with our community.

Register your interest teaching at our Centre. Tell us about what you are interested in teaching, your availability and we can plan a program together.

Joining our tutor register is free and we can help you find an audience for your class.
